Note:
Please note that the Query dialog is replaced by the SQL dialog. SQL can now be typed in the SQL editor. If you want to take SQL from a
worksheet you can use that option in the SQL dialog. To take SQL from a file has
been moved into the SQL editor where a file can be opened. Also a file can be
run as aSQL favorites . Finally
through the @, @@ and start commands SQL files can be run.
Specifies where the SQL should be read from. Three choices are given:
Use a textarea on the dialog to enter the SQL. When this option is selected the textarea will become visible.
Use SQL from a range of cells on a worksheet. When this option is selected a reference
box will be presented in which you can specify the range of cells where the SQL is stored. The easiest way
this is done is by putting the cursor in the reference box and by thereafter selecting
the block of cells on the worksheet using the mouse. Excel will automatically populate the reference
box with the address of the selected cells.
Use SQL from a SQL file. When this option is selected you are presented with a browse button with which you can pick a file to open.
