Connecting to non Oracle databases:
If you connect to databases other than
Oracle databases (e.g. Access, SQL Server) you must select another way to connecto to your
database. I suggest you use the database connection wizard.
Connecting to Oracle using ODBC or OLEDB:
If you connect to Oracle using ODBC or
OLEDB it is recommended to use the connection wizard.
Connecting to oracle databases:
When you tried to make a new OO4O Oracle connection the OO4O - Oracle Objects for OLE driver to connect to the database. When
you receive this error it means that your OO4O configuration is wrong or got
corrupted. Download an updated version of OO4O from technet.oracle.com or use
the OLE DB or ODBC driver. You can also use ODBC with the Oracle Instant
Client which does not require a full Oracle home installation on your
PC.
