To connect to an XML file using the OLE DB Provider (driver) please follow the procedure below:

Start Excel

Open the Connection dialog: SQL*XL | Connect...

Start the Data Link Properties wizard

Choose the Provider viksoe.dk OLE DB Provider for XML.

Enter a descriptive name as Data Source. SQL*XL will use this name as database name

Enter the full path to the xml file in the Location field

Username seems to be ignored. You can enter anything here.

Always use the Test Connection button before you continue

After connecting to the database once you can reconnect by selecting the connection from the Connection History list and typing the Password.
